NTE Energy To Spend $500M On Ohio Gas-Fired Plant

Law360, New York (January 29, 2014, 6:42 PM EST) -- Florida-based power generation developer NTE Energy LLC said Tuesday it will spend at least $500 million building a 500-megawatt gas-fired power plant in southwestern Ohio, enough electricity to power about 400,000 homes.

NTE said it will build, own and operate the combine-cycle plant in Middletown, Ohio, approximately 35 miles north of Cincinnati. The company said it has already started the permitting process, as well as applied for interconnection with regional grid operator PJM Interconnection LLC.
