OECD Transfer Pricing Proposal Could Aid Tax Regulators

Law360, New York (January 31, 2014, 6:08 PM EST) -- A new proposal by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development would give tax regulators important new tools in the fight against abusive transfer pricing and require some multinational corporations to change the way they conduct cross-border business, experts said Friday.

The OECD this week released a set of draft guidelines that would create an international standard for documenting deals that involve transfer pricing. The proposal is part of a growing movement within the international community to make business between multiple countries more transparent.
