Some Docs Still Hesitant About E-Records, Data Show

Law360, New York (January 31, 2014, 3:23 PM EST) -- Three years after health care providers began receiving payments for using electronic health records, the vast majority of hospitals have embraced the Affordable Care Act program, while a significant number of physicians are still holdouts, according to data released Friday.

More than 93 percent of hospitals have signed up for the EHR program, and 86 percent have received incentive payments for hitting certain milestones, such as making “meaningful use” of the technology by fulfilling various objectives, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services....
