NZ Ag Groups Won't Support TPP Without Full Tariff Removal

Law360, New York (January 31, 2014, 3:04 PM EST) -- A coalition of New Zealand's leading food producers on Thursday told the government's trade and agricultural authorities that it will not lend its support to an eventual Trans-Pacific Partnership trade pact unless the deal includes a comprehensive tariff removal on agricultural and seafood products.

Eighteen food groups sent a letter to Trade Minister Tim Groser and Primary Industries Minister Nathan Guy just as the trade ministers for the countries negotiating the TPP are preparing for a late February meeting to discuss the closure of the deal....
