Wal-Mart Tells NLRB Brief 'Strikes' Not Protected By Fed. Law

Law360, New York (February 3, 2014, 8:53 PM EST) -- Wal-Mart Stores Inc. urged the National Labor Relations Board last week to dismiss the complaint filed against it for threatening and disciplining nonunion employees involved in a recent wave of single-shift strikes, saying the workers’ activities were not protected under federal labor law.
