Miami Widow Sues Philip Morris Over Smoker's Death

Law360, Miami (February 3, 2014, 4:31 PM EST) -- Philip Morris USA Inc. and two Miami-area gas stations were hit Friday with a wrongful death suit in Florida state court by the widow of a smoker who died of lung cancer claiming the companies are responsible for his death.

Edith St. Felix, wife of Wesner St. Felix, who died in 2012 after smoking Marlboro cigarettes for decades, said Philip Morris and other tobacco companies marketed cigarettes for sale and agreed to conceal information about the health effects of cigarettes or their addictive nature.
