Maryland, Constellation Energy Begin Talks Over Suit

Law360 (March 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Maryland state government and local energy company Constellation Energy have taken the first steps toward settling a $386 million lawsuit by initiating talks aimed at reaching an agreement.

Constellation Energy confirmed on Thursday that the company has begun discussions with Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley aimed at resolving the lawsuit filed by the state against Constellation over $386 million in energy credits.

The energy company said that the talks began last week.
