Midwestern Power Co. Plans $500M Transmission Upgrades

Law360, New York (February 5, 2014, 6:34 PM EST) -- Indiana Michigan Power will spend $500 million over the next decade to upgrade its aging power transmission infrastructure in northeast Indiana, the company said Wednesday.

The infrastructure spending plan, Powering Up Northeast Indiana, will update the power transmission system in and around the city of Fort Wayne, Ind., providing greater reliability for its Indiana customers. I&M, an operating unit of American Electric Power Co. Inc., serves over 582,000 homes across northern Indiana and southwestern Michigan.
