EPA Defends 2013 Renewable Fuels Target At DC Circ.

Law360, New York (February 5, 2014, 7:38 PM EST) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency defended its 2013 renewable fuels standard program in a brief filed Tuesday in the D.C. Circuit Court, saying the standards were a reasonable exercise of the agency’s power.

The appeal, in the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, was filed in October by a small oil refiner and two petroleum industry groups over the EPA’s standards for the amount of renewable fuels that must be added to the nation’s fuel supply.
