Late AIA Review Settlements Dangerous For Patent Owners

Law360, New York (February 7, 2014, 7:26 PM EST) -- A recent U.S. Patent and Trademark Office decision that invalidated a patent in an America Invents Act proceeding despite a settlement between the parties puts patent owners on notice that if they want to settle such proceedings, they must do so early on, attorneys say.
