EPA To Propose Significant New Use Rule For 3 Hydrocarbons

Law360, New York (February 7, 2014, 6:08 PM EST) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will soon be proposing a significant new use rule for three hydrocarbons after receiving adverse comment on a direct final rule that was published in August, according to documents filed friday.

The agency rescinded a direct final rule for the three chemicals in November, and is now issuing a standard SNUR that would require persons who intend to manufacture or process any of the chemicals for an activity designated as a significant new use to notify the EPA at least 90...
