Danske Bank Hit With Price Manipulation Allegations

Law360, Washington (February 7, 2014, 7:02 PM EST) -- Denmark's public prosecutor has slammed Danske Bank A/S with accusations of “serious” price manipulation stemming from transactions in the corporate mortgage bond market, the bank said Friday.

Danske first alerted the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority about the possible price manipulation after discovering four employees from its banking operation and its subsidiary Realkredit Danmark violated internal rules and potentially manipulated prices in connection with bond transactions in February and March 2009.
