EIB Mulls $271M Investment In India’s Renewables Industry

Law360, New York (February 7, 2014, 3:26 PM EST) -- The European Investment Bank is considering pouring another €200 million ($272.4 million) into small and medium-sized renewable energy projects that will help mitigate climate change, which would bolster the millions in loans that have been dedicated to clean energy over the last year. 

The bank said Friday that the potential loan, which would help cover the roughly €1.3 billion in climate mitigation projects planned in the country, is currently under appraisal. The project is expected to consist of small hydropower plants, biomass, solar and wind plants,...
