DOJ Drops Probe Of Samsung's Essential-Patent Conduct

Law360, New York (February 7, 2014, 6:03 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice said Friday that it has ended its investigation into Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.'s use of standard-essential patents to ban the sale of certain Apple Inc. products, finding that recent action by U.S. trade authorities to undo the ban rendered the probe moot.
