Pa. Court Quashes Insurer's Appeal In Lowe's Row

Law360, New York (February 10, 2014, 5:12 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania appeals court on Friday upheld a ruling that dismissed a Pittsburgh insurance company's attempt to escape a construction worker's personal injury case against Lowe's Home Centers Inc., saying its request to be excused was premature.

The three-judge panel in the Superior Court of Pennsylvania said it could not rule on the National Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh's appeal because it concerned an order merely overruling its preliminary objections, rather than an actual decision.
