Mintz Levin Hit With Sex, Pregnancy Bias Complaint

Law360, New York (March 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Boston law firm Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo PC defended itself on Thursday before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination against a complaint by an associate who alleges she was discriminated against because of her sex and pregnancy.

The complaint, filed by Kamee Verdrager on Dec. 11, targets Mintz Levin partners Robert Gault, Donald Schroeder and David Barmak, as well as the firm itself. Verdrager alleges that the firm's employment, labor and benefits section, where she worked, created a hostile work environment for female associates....
