FERC Rule Aimed At Making Compliance Easier

Law360, New York (March 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has proposed an overhaul of its standards of conduct for transmission-provider employees in an effort to make enforcement easier and compliance “less elusive.”

The proposed rule, which FERC presented last week, brings its standards of conduct for transmission providers back in line with Order Numbers 497 and 889, which addressed standards of conduct for natural gas pipeline and electric-transmission-provider employees until 2003.
