Bill In Fla. Senate Would Legalize Medical Marijuana

Law360, Miami (February 12, 2014, 7:58 PM EST) -- A bill introduced Wednesday in the Florida Senate would legalize nonsmokable strains of marijuana that supporters say provide medical benefits for certain conditions, such as epilepsy, without the psychoactive components that make users high.

SB 1030, sponsored by Sen. Rob Bradley, R-Fleming Island, is the latest in several recent initiatives in the state moving toward the possible legalization of marijuana for medical purposes. Rep.
