Freescale Used Talks As Pretext To Infringe: Suit

Law360 (March 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Epic Technologies Inc. has accused Freescale Semiconductor Inc. of getting confidential information from Epic in the course of discussing a collaboration or licensing deal, then using the information in its semiconductor packaging development program without Epic's permission.

The patent lawsuit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, alleges patent infringement, breach of contract, unjust enrichment and trade secret misappropriation.
