EU Lifts Duties On Chinese Pharma Chemical Imports

Law360, New York (February 13, 2014, 5:36 PM EST) -- The European Union said Thursday it would lift anti-dumping duties on Chinese imports of a chemical used in the pharmaceutical industry, after a review showed the domestic industry in the EU was not threatened by the low-priced imports.

In Thursday's EU Official Journal, the European Commission said it had determined, in an expiry review of anti-dumping duties on dicyandiamide from China, that the imports no longer posed a risk to the domestic industry for the chemical, which has uses in the pharmaceutical sector, as well as...
