Fed. Circ. Vacates Injunction In Lantern Patent Suit

Law360, New York (March 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a patent dispute between two companies that make lanterns used in the railroad industry, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has vacated a lower court's ruling granting a preliminary injunction.

A.G. Design and Associates sued Trainman Lantern Company in March 2007, claiming that TLC's M2K Trainman Lantern infringes a patent held by AG.

In July, U.S. District Judge Franklin Burgess of the Western District of Washington granted AG's motion for a preliminary injunction prohibiting TLC from producing the M2K lantern.
