AfDB Committed $670M To Power Africa Initiative In 2013

Law360, New York (February 14, 2014, 3:26 PM EST) -- The African Development Bank said Friday that it approved approximately $670 million in 2013 in investments, loans and other project finance mechanisms for Power Africa, the U.S.-backed initiative aimed at bolstering economic development and access to power for Sub-Saharan Africa.

In a statement reiterating its years-long commitment as an anchor partner of the Power Africa initiative, the AfDB said it made a number of contributions to focus countries in the form of investments, support for policy reforms, advisory services and guarantees in 2013.
