Enbridge Pipeline Expansion Delayed By State Dept.

Law360, Washington (February 14, 2014, 3:35 PM EST) -- Enbridge Inc. said on Friday that U.S. regulatory reviews have delayed its proposed expansion of the Alberta Clipper crude oil pipeline, noting it will have to amend its environmental statement before the U.S. State Department will move forward with its permit application.

Calgary-based Enbridge planned to expand the 450,000-barrels-per-day pipeline to 800,000 barrels per day by mid-2015, but the State Department review has taken longer than expected, according to Enbridge CEO Al Monaco.
