Pakistan Scores €100M EIB Loan To Build Hydropower Plant

Law360, New York (February 18, 2014, 2:36 PM EST) -- The European Investment Bank will loan Pakistan €100 million ($137.05 million) to go toward a hydropower plant project, in a move that will help provide the country with clean, renewable energy, the bank said Sunday.

The long-term loan will go toward the Keyal Khwar Hydropower project, which includes the construction of a 128-megawatt, run-of-the-river hydropower plant with a 150-acre reservoir for daily regulation.
