FDA Vows To Collaborate More With Indian Drug Regulators

Law360, New York (February 18, 2014, 7:30 PM EST) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is stepping up its collaboration with drug regulators in India, the agency said on Tuesday, an announcement that follows a string of restrictions the agency placed on drugs imported from the country.

The FDA aims to hold more seminars, training sessions and other meetings with its Indian counterparts, spokesman Christopher Kelly said. FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg first made the announcement at the end of her visit to the country on Tuesday, according to The New York Times.
