US To Loan $6.5B For 1st New Nuclear Reactors In Decades

Law360, New York (February 19, 2014, 4:53 PM EST) -- U.S. Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz said Wednesday that the Energy Department would approve $6.5 billion in federal loan guarantees for the construction of two more reactors at the Vogtle nuclear plant in Georgia, the United States' first new reactors in three decades.
