FirstEnergy To Pump $475M Into Ohio Grid Upgrades

Law360, New York (February 19, 2014, 3:16 PM EST) -- FirstEnergy Corp. said on Wednesday that it plans to put more than $475 million into a variety of projects in 2014, as part of the Ohio company's continued efforts to upgrade its electric system.

According to a Wednesday press release, the $475 million worth of investments will be going toward an array of service reliability infrastructure upgrades in the company's Ohio Edison territory. In addition, a few brand new projects are in the works, First Energy said.
