US Financial Panel Expert Gains Window Into IAIS Efforts

Law360, New York (February 19, 2014, 7:50 PM EST) -- Roy Woodall, the insurance expert on the U.S. Financial Stability Oversight Council, said Tuesday he had gained observer status at the International Association of Insurance Supervisors, of which the Federal Reserve Board is now a provisional member.

The IAIS executive committee has greenlighted observer and member applications from Woodall and the Federal Reserve, respectively, and a formal vote on the applications will take place before the full body at a meeting in Amsterdam this fall.
