Ex-CFTC Official Joins Patton Boggs

Law360, New York (February 20, 2014, 1:48 PM EST) -- A former Commodity Futures Trading Commission official has joined Patton Boggs LLP’s Washington, D.C., office as a senior policy adviser, the firm announced on Thursday.

Richard A. Shilts, former director of the CFTC'S Division of Market Oversight, is a four-decade CFTC veteran with extensive experience in regulation and oversight of the swaps and derivatives markets — which included drafting new rules under the Dodd-Frank Act.
