China Levels Dumping Duties On US, EU Chemicals

Law360, New York (February 20, 2014, 7:23 PM EST) -- China has imposed provisional anti-dumping duties on dry cleaning chemicals from the U.S. and Europe after finding the imports were sold at unfair prices, harming Chinese producers, the nation's commerce ministry said Thursday.

In a statement posted in English Thursday on its website, China's Ministry of Commerce said it would level anti-dumping duties on imports from the U.S. and the European Union of perchlorethylene, a chemical sometimes referred to as tetrachloroethylene and used as a solvent in the dry cleaning industry.
