Fedders Wins Extension To Wrap Up Asset Sales

Law360, New York (March 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The court overseeing Fedders Corp.'s Chapter 11 proceedings has approved the company's bid to extend its exclusive control of its bankruptcy case, after Fedders asked the court for more time to wrap up the process of selling off its assets and to put together a restructuring plan.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Brendan Shannon signed off on an order Tuesday approving Fedders' Feb. 28 extension motion, which sought a 45-day extension of Fedders' exclusive rights to file and lobby for support of a Chapter 11 plan.
