Ukraine Leaders Strike Peace Pact To End Bloody Protests

Law360, New York (February 21, 2014, 6:52 PM EST) -- Ukrainian opposition leaders signed a tentative peace deal with President Viktor Yanukovich on Friday amid increasing pressure and sanctions threats from European and U.S. leaders aimed at stopping deadly political protests that have left dozens dead and hundreds injured. 

Mediated by foreign ministers from Germany, France and Poland, the deal will require the country to form a new unity government within 10 days and re-adopt its 2004 Constitution in order to curb many of Yanukovich's powers. The leaders promised to enact constitutional reforms to further balance...
