Court Orders Special Master In Amgen, Roche Case

Law360, New York (March 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal court has ordered the appointment of a special master in a patent dispute between Amgen Inc. and Roche Holding AG as it considers whether to permanently enjoin Roche from selling the anemia drug Mircera in the U.S.

District Judge William G. Young of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts said Wednesday that the special master would weigh “price parity as well as the respective dose conversion ratios for Mircera and Epogen,” Amgen's anemia drug.
