Constellation Expects Deal On Consumer Credits

Law360, New York (March 27, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Constellation Energy said Thursday it is close to settling its $386 million legal battle with the Maryland state government, as they discuss a deal that would provide for $346 million in credits, including a $187 million one-time credit to customers.

The company said it is working to resolve the lawsuit filed against Constellation by the Maryland state attorney general, which asks the court to enforce a law mandating consumer credits.
