Operator Of Disney Store Chain Files For Chapter 11

Law360, New York (March 27, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The company that operates the Disney Store chain in North America has filed for Chapter 11 protection and is working on an agreement to sell back to the Walt Disney Co. the stores it purchased from them in 2004.

Hoop Holdings LLC, a subsidiary of The Children's Place Retail Stores Inc., filed its petition Wednesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The Children's Place itself has not filed for bankruptcy.

Secaucus, N.J.-based Hoop operates 322 Disney Store outlets under a licensing agreement...
