Blue Cross Can't Ax Steward's Suit Over $40M Hospital Deal

Law360, New York (February 24, 2014, 7:55 PM EST) -- A Rhode Island federal judge on Wednesday rejected a bid by Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island to escape an antitrust suit brought by Steward Health Care System accusing it of unfairly blocking a $40 million hospital purchase, saying that the allegations were plausible enough to allow the suit to proceed.
