BigLaw Partner Ranks Still Crowd Out Women, Survey Says

Law360, Los Angeles (February 25, 2014, 7:46 PM EST) -- Female attorneys continue to face an uphill battle rising in U.S. law firms, according to a National Association of Women Lawyers report released Tuesday finding that women comprise just 17 percent of equity partners in the country’s 200 largest firms, a proportion that has remained nearly static over the past eight years.

That women continue to occupy such a small percentage of the highest positions at the nation's 200 largest firms despite being a significant majority — 64 percent — of staff attorneys at those firms...
