Health Care Orgs Call On FDA To Stop Painkiller Launch

Law360, Washington (February 27, 2014, 8:17 PM EST) -- A coalition of more than 40 consumer advocacy groups and health care organizations urged the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday to prevent approved narcotic painkiller Zohydro ER from hitting the market, saying the high-dose opioid is a prime target for abuse.
