Fla. High Court Ditches Appeals In 2 Engle Cases

Law360, New York (February 28, 2014, 1:52 PM EST) -- The Florida Supreme Court on Thursday reversed course and said it won't take up appeals in two Engle progeny cases it had initially accepted in cases that yielded $1.4 million in jury verdicts against R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co., saying the court determined it should exercise discretion and discharge jurisdiction.
