Ex-Va. Gov.'s Attys Demand Details On Corruption Charges

Law360, Los Angeles (February 28, 2014, 4:30 PM EST) -- Indicted former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell’s defense team on Thursday asked the court to force federal prosecutors to be more specific about what the official allegedly did wrong, saying the indictment is unnecessarily vague in its accusation of corruption.

The prosecution was meticulously detailed about some of the more salacious elements of the complaint, but grew suddenly vague when it turned to allegations of promises McDonnell made to perform official acts in exchange for favors, the defense said in its motion.
