Pressure Mounts To Scrap Medicare Part D Changes

Law360, New York (March 3, 2014, 8:06 PM EST) -- Federal regulators came under fresh fire Monday over proposed changes to Medicare Part D, with a massive coalition of drugmakers and insurers declaring its opposition and bipartisan complaints emerging from powerful voices in Congress.

Much of the blowback is being organized by the Healthcare Leadership Council, a coalition of health care executives that on Monday claimed that 279 corporations have signed on to a letter urging the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to ditch ideas put forth in January.
