Lawyer Staffing Will Be Steady Amid Downturn: Study

Law360, New York (March 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Despite a downturn in the U.S. economy, attorneys believe staffing levels at firms and corporate legal departments will stay the same or increase in the next year, according to a new survey developed by legal staffing agency Robert Half Legal.

The survey of 300 attorneys from large U.S. and Canadian law firms and corporations also found that attorneys believe the fastest-growing areas of law in the next 12 months will be bankruptcy and litigation.
