FDA Seeks $2.2M For Hearing Aid Violations

Law360, New York (March 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is seeking $2.2 million from Advanced Bionics for allegedly putting patients at risk by violating manufacturing guidelines connected to its cochlear implant hearing aids.

On Friday, the FDA revealed that it had amended its multimillion-dollar complaint against Advanced Bionics and Co-Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Greiner for failing to abide by the manufacturing guidelines for the advanced hearing devices.
