Apple, Oracle Seek To Cancel Encryption Patent Claims

Law360, Los Angeles (March 4, 2014, 4:07 PM EST) -- Apple Inc. and Oracle Corp. on Tuesday filed a petition for inter partes review by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office of a document encryption patent that a Delaware-based patent holder has accused them of infringing, seeking a finding that the asserted claims are invalid as anticipated or obvious.
