Federal Circuit Invalidates Rat Zapper Patent

Law360 (March 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court declared Agrizap's patent invalid due to obviousness but affirmed a jury's decision to hold Woodstream Corp. liable for fraudulent misrepresentation and to award Agrizap Inc. almost $1.3 million in damages in a patent suit over a trap that electrocutes pests such as rats and gophers.
