Atty Gets 5 Years For Stealing $2M From Clients

Law360, New York (March 5, 2014, 2:23 PM EST) -- A South Carolina federal judge on Wednesday sentenced a local attorney to more than five years in prison on mail fraud charges stemming from his theft of more than $2 million from clients between 2010 and 2012.

U.S. District Judge Margaret Seymour ordered Richard Breibart to serve 63 months behind bars, which was the maximum term allowed under federal guidelines, according to Winston Holliday, a spokesman for the U.S. Department of Justice.
