IMF To Analyze Corporate Tax Avoidance Issues

Law360, New York (March 5, 2014, 6:09 PM EST) -- The International Monetary Fund is conducting research and seeking comments about how national frameworks that enable tax avoidance by multinational companies impact other countries, the organization said Monday.

Tax avoidance, particularly base erosion and profit shifting, has caught international attention in recent years, and the IMF said the issues have been repeatedly recurring in the technical assistance work it does for its member countries.
