Former Dewey Leaders Indicted Over Historic Collapse

Law360, New York (March 6, 2014, 10:52 AM EST) -- Three former top executives at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP, including Chairman Steven Davis, were indicted Thursday in New York state court on charges they misled lenders, other lawyers and investors about the firm's financial health before it spiraled into bankruptcy.

The charges against Davis, former Executive Director Stephen DiCarmine and former Chief Financial Officer Joel Sanders mark the culmination of a nearly two-year investigation by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R.
