EIB Gives Tanzania €45M To Improve Water, Sanitation

Law360, New York (March 6, 2014, 1:42 PM EST) -- The European Investment Bank on Thursday said it will loan €45 million ($62.3 million) toward a total $145.6 million project intended to improve water infrastructure around the southern shores of Africa's Lake Victoria that will benefit more than 500,000 people in Tanzania.

The LV Watsan - Mwanza project — which is expected to be completed in 2019 — aims to transform access to clean water and sanitation in a number of Tanzanian regions, including Mwanza, Bukoba and Musoma. Pim van Ballekom, vice president of the EIB,...
