EPA Proposes Revised Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule

Law360, New York (March 7, 2014, 6:44 PM EST) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Friday floated new greenhouse gas reporting and confidentiality rules, issuing a proposal revising monitoring and data disclosure requirements for the petroleum and natural gas systems source category.

The proposed rule alters calculation methods for emissions from oil and gas facilities by revising units of measure, terms and definitions for equations used for data collection and reporting, and making confidentiality determinations for 243 new or revised data elements.
